Québec is choosing now. Make yourself heard.

The bill has been announced, consultations are coming, and MNAs will vote. Here is what really makes a difference, from most effective to simplest.

131 days until the next time change, on March 14, 2027

The five arguments to remember

  1. Clocks don’t create sunshine, they move it. Daylight time puts our light at the end of the workday rather than at 4 AM in June.
  2. People asked for it. Among respondents to the 2024 consultation who wanted to abolish the time change, 72% wanted to keep daylight time.
  3. Our neighbours chose it. All of Western Canada in 2026; Ontario already has its daylight time law.
  4. It isn’t extreme. The winter sun would rise earlier in Montréal than in Paris.
  5. Mornings are taken seriously. Adapted school hours, well-lit routes, independent monitoring: we can keep our evenings and protect our mornings.
